Fixtures, tile and surfaces we install and service on Dallas bathrooms, from Kohler and Moen valves to Schluter waterproofing and Cambria quartz tops.
A Dallas bathroom remodel with D&T Contractor Services starts with a phone call, a walkthrough of the room and a written scope that separates must-fix items (rotted subfloor, a failed shower pan, galvanized supply lines) from the finish choices. Most projects run three to six weeks on site, and permits are pulled whenever plumbing or electrical moves.
The bathrooms we see most in Dallas fall into two groups. The first is the tired original: a 1960s or 1970s tub-and-tile alcove, a builder vanity and a fan that vents into the attic. The second is a bathroom that was updated once already, usually in the 2000s, where the surface looks fine but the pan, the valve or the subfloor is failing underneath. Both get the same first step from us: we open the wall or floor where the problem is likely to be before we price the finish work.
From there the job is planned as one sequence. Demo, rough plumbing and electrical, inspection where the city requires it, waterproofing, tile, glass, fixtures, paint, walkthrough. One crew lead runs it from the Dallas service office and you get one number to call.
Clay soil, older plumbing and city permits shape most of what we do here
Dallas sits on Blackland Prairie clay. It swells after a wet spring and shrinks through a dry August, and slab foundations move with it. In a bathroom that shows up as hairline cracks across a tiled floor, grout that keeps failing at the same corner of the shower, and a tub that no longer sits level. When we retile a floor here we address the slab first, and when a fixture has to move we price the tunnel or trench honestly.
Roughly one in seven homes inside the city was built before 1950 and the average Dallas house dates to about 1990, so behind a lot of tile we find galvanized supply lines and undersized drains. We replace those while the wall is open. And because Dallas requires permits and inspections for electrical work, every lighting or plumbing relocation job is scheduled around the inspection, not squeezed past it.
- Slab and pier-and-beam homes
- Permits pulled when required
- Galvanized lines replaced while open

Two offices, one crew
A service office on Bryan St in downtown Dallas and a head office in Weatherford, with the same phone number at both.
Homes and businesses
Residential baths and commercial restrooms, including ADA compliance work, on the same crews and the same standards.

Dallas first, then the towns around it
Most of our bathroom work is inside Dallas itself, from the older streets south of downtown to the ranch neighborhoods north of the loop. The same crews cover the inner suburbs, and the Weatherford head office puts the western side of the metro within reach as well. The service area page lays out the coverage in plain terms, including where it ends.
If you are not sure whether your address is inside it, call. It takes thirty seconds to answer and we would rather tell you now than after a walkthrough.

How a bathroom project runs with us
The same seven steps on a powder room refresh and a full master bath gut, ordered so inspections and drying times never stall the finish work.
- 1
You call, we listen
Tell us what the room is doing now, what you want changed and any dates that matter. If it is a leak or a water-damage situation, we treat it as the urgent call it is.
- 2
Walkthrough and probing
We measure the room, run the shower, check the floor for soft spots, look at the valve and drain access, and open a small test area if we suspect the pan or subfloor.
- 3
Written scope and selections
You get a scope split into structural fixes and finish choices, with the planning ranges behind each line. Tile, fixtures and glass are selected before demo so nothing waits on a delivery.
- 4
Permits and scheduling
Anything that moves plumbing or electrical gets the Dallas permit it needs, and the inspection dates go on the calendar before the crew does.
- 5
Demo and rough-in
Old fixtures and tile come out, the drain and supply lines are corrected, wiring is run, and the room is inspected before a single board is closed.
- 6
Waterproofing, tile and glass
The pan and walls are waterproofed and flood-tested, tile goes in, then the glass is measured off the finished tile so it fits the real opening.
- 7
Fixtures, paint and walkthrough
Vanity, toilet, lighting and trim go in last. We walk the room with you, run every fixture, and leave the care notes for the grout and glass.

Most full bathroom projects run three to six weeks on site, with the exact time set by tile lead times, whether plumbing moves, and how many inspections the city requires. A tub to shower conversion with an acrylic surround is usually a few days; a master bath with a layout change sits at the long end.
Cosmetic work with no plumbing or electrical changes is exempt. Moving or adding fixtures needs plumbing and building permits, electrical changes need an electrical permit, and adding a bathroom or removing walls needs building permits. We pull whatever the scope requires and schedule the inspections.
Market data for Dallas puts a typical bathroom remodel around 6,400 to 17,200 dollars, with small guest baths near 8,000 to 14,000 and master baths at 20,000 to 35,000 and up. Your number depends on the room, what is under the old floor, and whether a fixture moves on a slab; our cost guide breaks it down.
Yes. That is one of the calls we treat as urgent. The usual causes are a failed pan or liner, a valve leaking inside the wall, or grout and caulk that opened at the curb. We find which one it is before we quote the fix; see shower leak repair.
Most of Dallas is on a slab, so yes. Moving a drain on a slab means tunneling under the house or trenching through the floor, and that is why relocating a fixture here is priced per fixture rather than folded into the tile number.
We remodel office, clinic, restaurant and retail restrooms and do ADA compliance work on existing ones, including turning clearances, fixture heights and grab bars. Multi-family unit turns are scheduled unit by unit.
The phone is answered 24 hours a day. If our crews are already committed and the situation cannot wait, we may pass the call to another trusted local provider so you get help quickly. That is a courtesy, not how most calls go.
The service office is at 2353 Bryan St in downtown Dallas, which is where the Dallas crews stage from. The head office is in Weatherford. Both use the same phone number, (214) 646-2836.
