Bathroom vanity installation in Dallas: single, double and floating
A vanity is cabinet, top, sink, faucet, mirror and light, installed as one job so the drawers clear the plumbing and the top sits dead level.

Vanity sinks, faucets and tops we install in Dallas include Kohler and American Standard sinks, Moen and Delta faucets, and Cambria or Silestone tops.
Bathroom vanity installation in Dallas removes the old cabinet and top, adjusts the supply and drain lines to suit the new layout, and sets the vanity level, anchored to the wall, with the top, sink and faucet connected and tested. Most swaps take a day; a second sink or a floating vanity adds plumbing or wall work.
What a vanity installation actually involves
The cabinet is the easy part. The work is making the plumbing fit it: the drain and supply stops of an old vanity rarely line up with the drawers and shelves of a new one.
We pull the old vanity, look at where the drain arm and stops sit, and move them inside the wall where needed so drawers open fully. The cabinet is leveled with shims, fixed to studs, and the top set on it.
Then the finish: a Kohler or American Standard sink, a Moen or Delta faucet, and the mirror and lighting centered on the new sinks, not the old ones.

The three vanity installations we do most
Double Vanity Installation
Going from one sink to two needs a second drain and a second pair of supply stops. On a wall that already has plumbing, we open it, add a sanitary tee or a second drain arm at the right slope, and run supplies to the new position. On a Dallas slab where the drain has to move far, that becomes a floor trench. The cabinet is usually 60 to 72 inches, so we check the wall length, the door swing and the toilet clearance before ordering, and add a second light box above the new sink.

Floating (Wall-Mount) Vanity
A floating vanity hangs on the wall with the floor visible beneath it, which makes a small bathroom feel larger and makes the floor easy to clean. It needs solid blocking between the studs to carry the cabinet, the stone top and someone leaning on it, so we open the wall and add blocking before tile or paint. The drain and supplies are set higher and tighter to the wall than for a floor-standing cabinet so they hide inside the cabinet box.

Custom Cabinetry and Linen Storage
When a stock vanity does not fit the space or the storage you need, a custom or semi-custom run can include a tower, a makeup counter at sitting height, or drawers sized for what you keep. Custom cabinets take longer to arrive, so we set the plumbing and wall work around the confirmed cabinet dimensions, not a catalog guess. The top is templated only once the cabinets are installed and level, so the fit to the wall and the overhang are exact.
What decides the price of a vanity installation
The cabinet price is only one line. These six decide the rest.
Stock or custom cabinet
Custom and semi-custom cabinets cost more and take longer.
Single or double sink
A second sink adds a drain, supplies and a faucet.
Plumbing moves
Shifting a drain on a slab is priced per fixture.
Floating vanity
Wall blocking and a higher drain add wall work.
Top and sink
Stone tops and undermount sinks cost more than a one-piece top.
Mirror and lighting
New sconce boxes need an electrical permit.
Adding a sink on a Dallas slab
A vanity swap that keeps the sink where it is stays simple. Moving a sink or adding a second one is different on a Dallas slab, where each relocated fixture runs roughly 2,000 to 8,000 dollars in market data because the drain is trenched or tunneled through concrete. When a double vanity would need that, we price it both ways, including keeping one drain with a shared trap arm where the layout allows.

Installing a vanity yourself versus having us do it
| Task | Doing it yourself | Having us do it |
|---|---|---|
| Swapping a same-size cabinet | Doable if the lines line up | Lines adjusted if they do not |
| Leveling on an uneven floor | Easy to leave a top out of level | Shimmed and checked before the top |
| Moving the drain | Needs the right slope and venting | Opened, moved and tested |
| Floating vanity | Needs blocking behind the wall | Blocking added, weight carried by studs |
| Stone top | Heavy and fragile at the cutout | Two people, set on adhesive |
