Grab bar and bathroom safety installation in Dallas, anchored to hold
A grab bar is a promise that it will hold when someone falls against it. We make that true by finding the framing, or adding it, before anything is drilled.

Safety fixtures we install in Dallas bathrooms include Moen, Delta and Bobrick grab bars, Grohe and Kohler handhelds, and Bemis raised seats.
Grab bar and safety installation in Dallas adds grab bars at the toilet, tub and shower, handheld showers on slide bars, shower seats and non-slip surfaces, each fixed into studs, blocking or rated anchors rather than drywall or tile alone. Most homes can be made much safer in a single visit without a remodel.
Why most grab bars fail, and how we install them
Three moments in a bathroom call for something solid to hold: stepping over the tub wall, standing up from the toilet, and turning in a wet shower. A bar in the right place at each of those moments makes the biggest difference.
The installation is the part people get wrong. A bar screwed into drywall or tile with plastic anchors will pull out under a falling adult. We locate studs behind the tile, use blocking where the wall is open, and use anchors rated for grab bars where neither is available.
Bars from Moen, Delta or Bobrick come in finishes that match the faucets, so a safe bathroom does not have to look clinical.

The three safety upgrades we install most
Grab Bars Anchored Into Studs or Blocking
We place bars where the user actually reaches: a horizontal bar beside the toilet, a vertical bar at the tub or shower entry for stepping in and out, and a bar along the back wall of the tub or shower. The wall is scanned for studs, holes are drilled through tile with diamond bits, and each flange is sealed so water cannot follow the screw into the wall. Where a bar has to land between studs, we use anchors rated for grab bars rather than general-purpose plugs.

Handheld Showers and Shower Seats
A handheld shower on a slide bar lets someone wash while seated and lets a caregiver direct the water. Many can be added through a diverter at the existing shower arm; others need the valve changed. A shower seat can be a freestanding bench, a transfer bench that straddles the tub wall, or a fold-down seat fixed to the wall, which needs blocking or studs to hold its rated load. We place the seat so the valve and handheld are in reach from it.

Non-Slip Flooring and Raised Toilet Seats
A slick, wet floor is an obvious hazard. Options range from an anti-slip treatment on existing tile, to textured mats in the tub, to replacing a glossy floor with a textured porcelain or slip-resistant vinyl. At the toilet, a raised seat or a comfort-height toilet reduces how far someone has to lower and lift themselves every single day. Combined with a bar beside the toilet, it can be the change that restores independence in the bathroom. A textured mat is not a substitute for a secure floor.

Dallas walls and where the framing is
Dallas housing ranges from historic Craftsman houses in Oak Cliff to the ranch homes of Lake Highlands, and none of them were framed with grab bars in mind. Studs are rarely where the bar needs to go, and walls behind tubs often hide old tile over whatever board the builder used. We find out what is behind the tile before drilling, so the bar lands on something that will hold.

What decides the cost of safety upgrades
Most safety work is priced per fixture. These items move it.
Number of bars
Each bar is placed, drilled, anchored and sealed.
Tile or drywall
Drilling through tile takes diamond bits and more care.
Studs available
Rated anchors cost more where studs are not in place.
Handheld shower
A diverter is simple; a valve change adds work.
Seat type
Fold-down seats need blocking or stud anchoring.
Flooring
Treating existing tile costs less than a new floor.

Call nowInstalling safety fixtures yourself versus having us do it
| Task | Doing it yourself | Having us do it |
|---|---|---|
| Towel bar used as a grab bar | Towel bars are not rated to hold a person | Rated grab bars only |
| Drilling tile | Cracks tile and invites leaks | Diamond bits, sealed flanges |
| Finding studs behind tile | Stud finders struggle through tile | Located before drilling |
| Anchors | General plugs pull out under load | Studs, blocking or rated anchors |
| Placement | Easy to put the bar where it looks right, not where it is needed | Placed with the user |
